Vancouver Canucks Information
The Vancouver Canucks have been an NHL team since their induction into the league in 1970. As a member of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference, they are based in Vancouver, Canada. The team has played in the Stanley Cup Championships three times, but has never won. In 1982, they lost to the New York Islanders, in 1994, they lost to the New York Rangers, and most recently, in 2011, they lost to the Boston Bruins.
In the 2009-10 season, the Canucks placed first in their division. They beat the Los Angels Kings in the quarterfinals, but lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in the semifinals. The 2010-11 season was even more successful for the Canucks as they placed first in their division, first in their conference, and made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Championship before losing in game seven to the Bruins.
The 2011-12 season was mostly spent catching up with other Western Conference teams in order to make the playoffs. They became the top seed of the Western Conference. they also won the President's Trophy. The team had a fantastic regular season record but they lost to the Lost Angeles Kings and were knocked out of the playoffs.
