Utah Utes Information
The Utah Utes represent the University of Utah's 17 varsity athletic programs that compete in the NCAA Division 1 Mountain West Conference. Mascot Swoop leads the pack of Crimson and White Utah fans in all major contests. Primary playing fields include Rice-Eccles Stadium and Jon M. Huntsman Center. Football is the University's longest running program, starting up in 1892. Over the years Utes football has earned the highest bowl record percentage with 11 wins and 3 losses. They defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 31-17 in the 2009 Sugar Bowl to finish undefeated at 13-0. From 2000-2009, the men's basketball program at Utah have won five MWC Championships.
