American country singer-songwriter Taylor Swift first caught her big break in 2006 with her debut self-titled album. Featuring the songs "Tim McGraw," "Teardrops on My Guitar," and "Picture to Burn," the album went on to reach triple platinum status. In 2008 her second album, Fearless, took the country charts by storm, producing five top 10 hits that include "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me." Fearless sold a record breaking 592,304 its first week in stores and eventually reached 5X Platinum in sales.

Swift has been dominating the country music scene since her arrival just four years ago. She is one of the rare cases to cross over succesfully into the mainstream charts from her initial genre. In total she has recieved three Teen Choice Awards, eight BMI Awards, five Country Music Association Awards, five CMT Music Awards, and one MTV Video Music Award.
