Sugar Bowl Information
The Sugar Bowl is an NCAA division 1 college post-season bowl game currently located at the Louisiana Superdome (home of the NFL's Saints) in New Orleans. Previous locations include Tulane Stadium and the Georgia Dome. The event is recognized as the second oldest bowl game in the U.S. with the Orange Bowl and Sun Bowl (1934), behind the Rose Bowl (1916). It has been the host of the National Championship twice in 2000 and 2004. Last yearâ€™s contest featured Utah defeating Alabama 31-17. The next Sugar Bowl will take place on New Yearâ€™s Day.
