Rob Schneider Information
Rob Schneider is an actor, comedian, director and screenwriter from San Francisco, California. He started his stand-up comedy career while he was still in high school, opening for Head On, a local band managed by Rob's older brother. He played in Bay area nightclubs after high school and guest starred on local radio programs. In 1987 he opened a show for comedian Dennis Miller. Miller then landed him a spot on HBO's 13th Annual Young Comedians special at which he was the host. This opportunity got him a position as a writer for Saturday Night Live. He quickly became a featured player on the show and then a full cast member. He was at SNL from 1990 to 1994.
After SNL, Schneider played many supporting roles in films such as "The Beverly Hillbillies," "The Demolition Man" and "Surf Ninjas." He appeared in TV series such as "Coach" and "Men Behaving Badly."His larger movie appearances include "The Benchwarmers," "Muppets from Space," "The Waterboy," "Eight Crazy Nights, "Grown Ups" and many more. Most recently, Schneider starred in a comedy sitcom, "Rob," which was based on his real life. CBS canceled the series however in May of 2012. He will perform a comedy show at Boston's Wilbur Theatre on Saturday, December 29 at 7PM.
