Portland Trail Blazers Information

The Trail Blazers were founded in 1970 and play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. They won their only NBA Championship in 1977 and have three Conference Championships, the last in 1992.

Portland finished the 2009 season with an outstanding 54-28 record, but lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Houston Rockets. In the 2010 season, Portland continued their success with a 50-32 record and postseason berth, but lost in the first round to the Phoenix Suns.

In 2010-11, the Trail Blazers once again made the playoffs, but were eliminated by the eventual champion Dallas Mavericks. Last season the Trail Blazers mixed up a lot of the roster and finished the regular season with a 28-38 record. This was the first time they had finished out of playoff contention in three years. This past offseason the team hired new general manager Neil Olshey and made many more roster changes. This year they hope to regroup and at least make it to the playoffs.
