Nashville Predators Information

The Nashville Predators entered the NHL as an expansion team in 1998, but didn’t make the playoffs for the first time until the 2003-04 season. They lost in the quarterfinals to the Red Wings four games to two. 2008 marked the fourth consecutive season of playoff hockey for the Predators.

In 2009, Nashville wasn't able to keep their streak alive, ending the season in 5th place in the Central division with a 40-34-8 record. After not making the playoffs again in 2010, the Predators were back in it in 2011, but lost to the Canucks in the semi-finals. In the 2011-2012 season the Predators won a first-round series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the second year in a row and a second time in team history. They beat the Detroit Red Wings in a series win of 4 games to 1. Unfortunately the team was ousted of the Western Conference Semi Finals to the Phoenix Coyotes.
