Modest Mouse Information

Modest Mouse is an American band formed in 1993 outside of Seattle , and is one of the main bands responsible for popularizing indie rock. The band can most be distinguished by lead singer Isaac Brock's intense baritone vocals. After signing with Epic Records in 2000, the band released "The Moon & Antarctica" in 2000, which was a much more experimental and instrumental path than their previous works. The album, with single "Gravity Rides Everything" was very well-received by fans and critics alike as was followed up by "Good News for People who Love Bad News" (2004) with singles "Float On" and "Ocean Breathes Salty." Modest Mouse has since reached number one on the US Billboard 200 with "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank" (2007) and released its first new album in eight years when it released "Strangers to Ourselves" in March 2015.
