Macklemore Information

Macklemore is the stage name for American musician, Ben Haggerty. Macklemore has been popular in his hometown of Seattle since the start of his musical career in high school. He has releasing independent music since 2000 and has a large online fanbase. To date, Macklemore has released two albums, three EPs and one mixtape. His first studio album, The Heist, was released this past October. It entered at No. 1 on the US iTunes download charts.

This first released EP was titled "Open Your Eyes". He released it in 2000 under the name Professor Macklemore. His first official full-length album, The Language of My World, was released in 2005 then in 2009 he released The Unplanned Mixtape. His next EP was released in 2010 as VS. Redux with the help of Producer Ryan Lewis. Since this release, Mackemore has been picked up by the Agency Group which is his representative booking company.

In July 2012, Macklemore announced that his debut full-length album, The Heist, would be released on October 9 and he would go on a world tour to promote it. This album includes singles such as "My Oh My," "Can't Hold Us" and "Wings." Upon its release, The Heist debuted on the US Billboard 200 at No. 2 during the week of October 27 and sold over 78,000 copies. Macklemore is currently on his tour to promote the album and will be at Boston's House of Blues on Thursday, November 15 at 7PM.
