Houston Texans Information
The Houston Texans are members of the South Division of the AFC. The team was founded in 2001 and joined the NFL in 2002 as an expansion team. Their home games are played at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. In their short history they have not had much success. The Texans did not even have their first playoff berth until last season.
The 2011 Houston Texans improved their record from the 2010 season and defeated the Cincinnati Bengals to reach the playoffs for the first time since their inception. Their AFC South title didn't get them very far, however. They reached the Divisional match against the Baltimore Ravens but ultimately lost 20-13. This year they hope to make it to the playoffs again. Their most valuable players this season include quarterback Matt Schaub, wide receiver Andre Johnson, tackle Duane Brown, cornerback Johnathan Joseph and running back Arian Foster.
