Chris Botti Information

Contemporary jazz trumpeter and composer Chris Botti grew up in Oregon, committing to the trumpet at age 12 and touring alongside Frank Sinatra and Buddy Rich by the time he was in college.

Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti has become the largest selling American jazz instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four #1 jazz albums, multiple gold, platinum and Grammy Awards. Over the past three decades, he has recorded and performed with the best in music, including Frank Sinatra, Sting, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and Andrea Bocelli. Botti and his incredible band have performed with many of the finest symphonies, at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including performances at the World Series and Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony.

Chris Botti in Boston was released in 2009 from his Sepember 2008 performance with Keith Lockhart, the Boston Pops Orchestra and an array of artists including John Mayer, Yo Yo Ma and Steven Tyler for the recording of a once-in-a-lifetime concert at Boston’s historic Symphony Hall, one of the world’s most exquisite performance venues. Botti’s small 2010 tour covers eleven cities over the course of two months, with a New England performance in Newport, RI.
