Blue October Information

Blue October is a rock band quintet from Houston, Texas. The band, which formed in 1995, currently consists of Justin Furstenfeld (lead vocals, guitar), his brother Jeremy Furstenfeld (drums), Matt Novesky (backing vocalist, bass guitar), Julian Mandrake (lead guitar), and Ryan Delahoussaye (violin, piano, backing vocalist).

Blue October released an independent debut album in 1998 called "The Answers." Their most famous album, "Foiled", was issued in April 2006 and went platinum one year later. The band went on tour with Yellowcard in September 2007. Their more melancholic songs have been said to exhibit vocals similar to those of Peter Gabriel or Roger Daltrey. The band's more upbeat songs have been compared to Snow Patrol, The Killers and The Fray.
