Patriots Improve to 4-4

After some recent stumbles especially at the QB position, the Patriots bounced back with an important win at the rival New York Jets on Sunday. The Jets who have had a surprisingly good start to the season couldn’t stop Mac Jones and the Patriots, falling 22-17 to New England. Jones, who was benched in favor of backup Bailey Zappe the week prior, finished the day with 194 passing yards including at TD to Jakobi Meyers. Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick also reached a career milestone with his 325th win, good for 2nd place on the NFL’s all time win list for coaches.

The Patriots were trailing 10-6 at the half but were determined to bounce back in the 3rd quarter. Facing a 4th and 1, Jones and the Patriots went for it and scored the go ahead TD. They would hold the lead for the rest of the game, adding 2 field goals in the 3rd to go up 19-10. The Patriots increased their lead to 22-10 in the 4th before ultimately winning 22-17 with the Jets adding a 4th quarter TD.

The 4-4 Patriots are home this Sunday to host the Indianapolis Colts. As always, Patriots tickets are available from Ace Ticket for all games.
