Celtics Season Just 7 Days Away

In just one week the 2022-2023 Boston Celtics season gets underway at home in the TD Garden. The Celtics will host the division rival Philadelphia 76ers. Both teams advanced to the 2022 NBA Playoffs with Boston taking the 2nd seed and Philly in the 4th seed. The Celtics of course took their playoff run to game 6 of the NBA Finals losing to the Golden State Warriors. Philly’s run ended in the Semis with a series loss to Miami. Both teams start the season with high expectations in the Atlantic Division with nothing short of an NBA title considered acceptable in Boston.

The Celtics of course will be anxious to put off-season distractions behind them as they rally around their new coach, Joe Mazzulla. According the many the Celtics have the best odds of winning the NBA title this year so the pressure is on. They’ll rely heavily on their core of Tatum, Smart and Brown and look to dominate on defense as they did last season. This group of players is only getting better. Look for Blake Griffin to make a difference off the bench for Boston.
