Bad Company Information
British classic rock band Bad Company, led by arguably one of the finest singers in rock 'n ' roll and a huge songwriting talent, Paul Rodgers, came together in 1973 and nearly 40 years later has still got it. A supergroup of sorts, Bad Company’s originaly lineup consists of ex-King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell (who passed away in 2006), former Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs, and singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, both of Free. Their 1974 self-titled debut went platinum 5 times with the hits “Can’t Get Enough†and “Movin’ Onâ€. They followed up their initial success with the 1975 release of the Grammy-nominated, triple-platinum Straight Shooter which contained the Top Ten smash ballad "Feel Like Makin' Love".
Bad Company released twelve studio albums in eighteen years, with twenty hit singles throughout the years. The long awaited reunion came together in 1999 and saw a complete 30-date U.S. tour that drew sellout crowds and the release of the acclaimed Original Bad Company Anthology. The original members of Bad Company reunited again in August of 2008 for a one night only sold-out show in Hollywood, Florida, documented on a DVD released earlier this year. The newest tour announcement follows the band’s recently completed UK trek, which culminated with a sold-out show at Wembley Arena. Bad Company will play at Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on July 27th.
