The Badgers of the University of Wisconsin-Madison field 23 athletic programs and compete in the NCAA division 1 Big Ten conference. Their team colors are cardinal and white and their beloved mascot goes by the name of "Bucky Badger." Their recognizable playing fields are Camp Randall Stadium, the Kohl Center, and WV Field House.
Through 2009 the University of Wisconsin has won a total of 27 NCAA National championships. Their men's hockey team has earned six championships of their own (their last in 2006). The women's hockey program has been really successful lately, winning it all in 2006,2007 and 2009. Men's boxing won eight National titles, despite their most recent dating all the way back to 1956.
