Vancouver Canucks Information

The Vancouver Canucks have been an NHL team since their induction into the league in 1970. As a member of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference, they are based in Vancouver, Canada. The team has played in the Stanley Cup Championships three times, but has never won. In 1982, they lost to the New York Islanders, in 1994, they lost to the New York Rangers, and most recently, in 2011, they lost to the Boston Bruins.

In the 2009-10 season, the Canucks placed first in their division. They beat the Los Angels Kings in the quarterfinals, but lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in the semifinals. The 2010-11 season was even more successful for the Canucks as they placed first in their division, first in their conference, and made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Championship before losing in game seven to the Bruins.

This season, the Canucks are once again in position to go to the playoffs. Coming off their devastating loss last postseason, look for them to come on strong and try to make it back to the championships, this time with a win.
