Canadian rock band known best for their hit “I Hate Everything About You”, Three Days Grace released their first self-titled studio album in 2003 to favorable reviews, hailing them a very accessible alternative band with “tight songwriting and some unexpectedly pretty choruses”. Their breakout hit, the notorious, aforementioned, scream-worthy track, was followed up by songs that were just as loathsome and sad after front man Adam Gontier checked himself into a rehab center after becoming reliant on painkillers. One-X (2006) proved to be a rather personal collection of songs.
Three Days Grace’s latest Life Starts Now (2009) was self-described as a commentary of the band members lives, hoping to send the message about the need to reflect and “redefine what life is and what it means to be alive after you hit rock bottom”. What resulted was a chart topper, debuting #3 on the Billboard 200. While the band just finished up a Spring headlining promotional tour, they are currently on the road with Nickelback and Buck Cherry as part of the Dark Horse Fall 2010 tour, scheduled to hit the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Ma on September 24th.
