The Cranberries Information

Irish indie rock band, The Cranberries, got their start in 1989 as The Cranberry Saw Us. Current members include Dolores O’Riordan who shortened the band name, Noel Hogan, Mike Hogan, and Fergal Lawler. They have had four top 20 albums on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and eight top 20 singles, including “Linger,” “Zombie,” “Ode to My Family,” and “Salvation.”

Their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?, was released in 1993, but the band did not find success until they began touring with Suede. MTV began airing The Cranberries’ videos, gaining them more recognition.

In 1994, they released their second album, No Need To Argue, which landed them at #6 on the U.S. Billboard charts and gave them their first #1 hit single in “Zombie.” They went on tour for the album and continued to gain success around the world.

Although their third album, To The Faithful Departed, did not do as well as their first two, their fourth album, Bury the Hatchet, was released in 1999 and kicked off the most successful tour of their career.

After their fifth album, Wake Up And Smell The Coffee, dropped, they released a Greatest Hits album and started a European tour.

In 2003, the group went on hiatus so that band members could work on their solo careers. O’Riordan announced in 2009 during press for her solo album that the band would be reuniting for a North American and European tour.

Their sixth album, Roses, dropped on February 27, 2012. The tour for the album will kick off March 15 in New Zealand and will continue on throughout Australia, Asia, the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
