Santana information, Carlos Santana began his gold plated career with his band then known as the Santana Blues Band in 1966. Their music was a fine blend of salsa, rock, blues, and jazz fusion; a breakthrough genre for their time. Some of their influences included American blues, R&B, and Rock and Roll.
