Rose Bowl Information, The Rose Bowl is a sanctioned NCAA division 1 college post-season bowl game that has been played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California for the past 95 years. Because of its long running existence the contest is referred to as "The Granddaddy of Them All." Currently the Rose Bowl features teams from the Big Ten and Pac-10, with previous tie-ins with the Pacific Coast conference.
The University of Southern California leads the pack in all time Rose Bowl wins with 24 from their 33 appearances. The University of Michigan has notched eight wins from their 20 earned bowl trips. The next bowl is scheduled to take place on New Year’s Day.
The 2008-2009 Bowl Championship Series games are on the way. First up is the Rose Bowl on January 1st, which will feature Penn State versus either USC or Oregon State.
