Portland Trail Blazers information, The Trail Blazers were founded in 1970. They play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. They won their only NBA Championship in 1977 and have three Conference Championships; the last one earned in 1992.
Portland finished the 2009 season with an outstanding 54-28 record, but lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Houston Rockets. They are led by young stars Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Greg Oden. On July 24, 2009 the Trailblazers picked up point guard Andre Miller to complete the offensive charge. Portland is definitely a team on the rise. Not only will they be playoff contenders in 2010, but they should be improving year by year if they are able to keep their young roster together.
