Rock Legends U2, Van Halen and the Police all played their first Boston shows at The Paradise Rock Club. Opening in September 1977, the Paradise Rock Club has been the place to go for 25 years. Featuring outstanding music from new and established artists ranging in genres, The Paradise is sure to have several shows you want to see each month. Known for a great view in any part of the room that has a 650 person capacity.
With a main floor with room for dancing and surrounding balconies complete with couches, itís not hard to find a comfortable place to catch the entire act. Unlike some other well known venues not only can you see a great band but you can also order food from their full menu well into the night. In 2002 The Paradise Rock Club also began to feature revolving visual art in addition to its usual line up of outstanding acts.
Live Nation Inc will be selling the Opera House, the Orpheum, and the Paradise. A group including Don Law and David Mugar are purchasing the venues for $22.5 million.
