Opened in 1852 the Orpheum Theatre in Boston was the original home of the New England Conservatory. These days the venue often plays home to some of the hottest rock and pop groups in music. One of the oldest venues in Boston, what the Orpheum lacks in modern comfort, it more than makes up for with its distinct character. It was this quality that attracted one of the most popular acts in music history, The Rolling Stones, to perform a rare intimate show for their 2002 tour on the Orpheum Theatre stage.
