Information

North Carolina Tar Heels Information, The Tar Heels intercollegiate athletic programs represent the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They primarily compete against other programs in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. In their history North Carolina has won an amazing 35 team and 51 individual National Championships. Their basketball program has won five National titles out of their eighteen final four appearances; their last two back to back in 2008 and 2009. Baseball has served as a premiere sport for the Tar Heels as well, winning the College World Series twice in 2006 and 2007.
