New Orleans Hornets Information

The Hornets came into existence in the 1988 season as the Charlotte Hornets and moved to New Orleans in 2002. Since the Hornets entered the league they have not won or played in the NBA finals, but have qualified for the post-season eleven times.

In 2009, the Hornets advanced to the playoffs but couldn't continue past the first round. The Nuggets sent them home after five games, including an embarrassing 121-63 beating in game four. Following a 37-45 run in 2010, the squad finished the 2011 season at 46-36 and made it into the playoffs. The Lakers beat them 4-1 in the series.

This season has been rough for the Hornets. They are 14-40 on the short regular season and will miss out on the playoffs. Look for the team to try and improve their club for the next season.
