The Nashville Predators entered the NHL as an expansion team in 1998. The upstart Nashville team made the playoffs for the first time in the 2003-04 season, losing in the quarterfinals to the Red Wings 4 games to 2. The 2006-07 season will mark the 3rd consecutive year of playoff hockey for the Predators.
