Modest Mouse Information

Modest Mouse is an American band formed in 1993 outside of Seattle , and is one of the main bands responsible for popularizing indie rock music. The band can most be distinguished by Isaac Brock’s intense barotone vocals. After signing with Epic Records in 2000, the band released The Moon & Antarctica (2000), which was a much more experimental and instrumental path than their previous works. This album, with single “Gravity Rides Everything” was very well-received by fans and critics alike as was the follow-up Good News for People who Love Bad News (2004) with “Float On” and “Ocean Breathes Salty”.

Modest Mouse has since reached number one on the US Billboard 200 with We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank (2007) and are headlining two music festivals this summer. Modest Mouse are also headlining their own tour to promote the release of No One’s First and You’re Next. They’re touring from July 1st to September 10th, ending the tour in Europe and a UK festival.
