Minnesota Wild information, The Minnesota Wild were founded in 2000 and play in the Northwest division of the Western Conference. In their third season the Wild made their first trip to the playoffs; eventually losing in the Conference finals to the Mighty Ducks.
After making it to the playoffs for two consecutive seasons, the 2009 Wild wound up 40-33-9 with no playoff spot. The franchise then completely flipped the staff around, replacing coach Jacques Lemaire and GM Doug Risebrough with Todd Richards and Chuck Fletcher. With new strategies in place looking ahead to 2010 the Wild might just benefit and hopefully get back in the playoffs.
