Milwaukee Bucks Information

The Bucks were founded in 1968. They play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. They won their first and only NBA Championship in 1971. They have 13 division titles but have failed to gain one since 2001.

The 2008 Bucks finished the regular season with a 34-48 record and did not reach the playoffs. Michael Redd, Charlie Villanueva, and Richard Jefferson were the Bucks premiere players again for 2009. The three of them made quite a trio, but without any other options they were unable to make up for the team’s lack of depth on the bench. 34-48 was the same exact record as the previous year, resulting another season out of the playoffs.

Villanueva and Jefferson moved on to sign with the Pistons and Spurs. In the Jefferson deal they picked up forwards Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas, and center Fabricio Oberto. In the 2009-2010 NBA draft they selected guards Brendon Jennings and Jodie Meeks. The Bucks clinched the 6th seed that season with a 46-36 record and were eliminated in a hard fought seven-game series against the Atlanta Hawks. In the 2010-11 season, the Bucks finished tenth in the Eastern Conference, just out of playoff reach.

Last season, the Bucks finished with a 31-35 record and were ninth in the Eastern Conference. They again, did not qualify for the playoffs. This year they hope to make more of an impact.
