Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958. He was the seventh child of the Jackson family, debuting his musical talents at age 11 as a member of the Jackson 5. He had much success performing with his brothers, but eventually branched off to start a solo career in 1971.
Jackson eventually was referred to as the King of Pop. Five of his studio albums (Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, and History) are among the world's best selling records. His album "Thriller" to this day remains the biggest selling album of all time, selling 109 million records. He has won 40 Billboard Awards, 19 Grammy Awards, 56 RIAA Awards, and holds 13 Guinness World Records for his music.
