Miami Dolphins information, The Miami Dolphins are one of the more recognizable teams in the NFL. They are known for their colorful uniforms and movie appearances, but most importantly for their former superstar players and team accomplishments. The biggest achievement in their history is the amazing Superbowl run of the 1972 Dolphins team. Not only did Bob Griese pass their way to a championship, they went undefeated the whole way. The '72 team has been the only one in NFL history to accomplish that feat. Very few teams have come close to perfection since 1972, which raises the question; will the record ever be matched?

Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino is undeniably the 'face' of the Dolphins franchise. He is one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game. His tenure spanned 16yrs, from 1983-1999. Although never able to win a championship, Marino holds 20 different NFL passing records including most touchdown passes in a career (420), and most seasons with at least 3,000 yards passing (13). Marino was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005 to go along with his many MVP awards.

Currently, the Dolphins have had a tough time getting back to their dominant form of the early '70s and '80s. However, 2006-2007 may be the season in which they prove they are on the rise. Head coach Nick Saban has all the tools to do so.ÜNewly acquired quarterback Daunte Culpepper along with running back Ronnie Brown and Wide out Chris Chambers make up a tandem that can compete with any such lineup in the league. The Miami fans, staff, and owners all seem to be confident about where the Franchise is headed. Only time will tell.
