Just WOW. I thought at 51 She might have lost some voice and mojo so to speak but boy was I mistaken. The show was so amazing! Great musicians playing with her. Amazing guitar from her and her voice! Many "older" singers have re-arranged their hits because they can no longer hit those notes..she has made the songs even more challenging! Her arrangements of "somebody bring me some water" "like the way I do" and "Im the only one" were by far the best live performances I have ever seen...and I have seen the greats! Her new stuff was good too and I downloaded three of the new songs when I got home. She made a fan for life after this concert!

Melissa Etheridge Information

Melissa Etheridge has become a public figure from her fight against breast cancer, David-Crosby-fathered children, currently shaky marriage with wife Tammy, and stance against California’s marriage ban and for medical marijuana. Despite all this, she has been actively songwriting and released her latest album, Fearless Love, just last month. Influences from modern-day rock are prevalent in her title track single “Fearless Love”, notably the Kings of Leon. Cashbox Magazine currently has Fearless Love listed as the #1 rock album for the week of May 24th, before Iron Man 2, Bullet for My Valentine and Hole.

Etheridge will be playing at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, MA July 9th, followed by another performance at the Wang Theater in Boston on July 10th and Hampton Beach Casino in Hampton, NH on July 12th. The tour will begin with two sold out shows in London and Amsterdam late June and wrap up September 4th in Las Vegas.
