Los Angeles Clippers information, The Clippers were born as the Buffalo Braves in 1970. In 1978 they moved to San Diego until they finally settled in Los Angeles for the 1984 season. They currently play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference and share the Staples Center with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Clippers have only made the playoffs seven times in their history.
In 2008 the Clippers failed to make the playoffs, and they didn't place any better in 2009. With the first pick in the NBA draft, they selected former Oklahoma Sooner Blake Griffin. After claiming Griffin they traded Zach Randolph to Memphis for Quentin Richardson on July 1st. Los Angeles then took Richardson and traded him to the Timberwolves for Sebastian Telfair, Craig Smith, and Mark Madsen. Ricky Davis, Marcus Camby, and Baron Davis will serve as the experienced veterans to help these young guys along.
