The Liberty Bowl is a NCAA division 1 post-season game played annually since 1959. The bowl is now played at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. Previous stadiums include the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Atlantic City, New Jersey. C-USA and SEC conferences are the primary tie-ins at the yearly event. Mississippi leads all teams in overall appearances and wins at 4-0. Louisville, Alabama, and the Air Force Academy have been invited to the Liberty Bowl four times as well. In 2009 the University of Kentucky beat out East Carolina 25-19. This year the bowl is set to take place on January 2nd.
