Lamb of God is a heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia. They were formed in 1990 and are considered to
be a part of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal Movement. Since their inception the band has released
three DVDs, one compilation album, one live album and six studio albums. The group currently consists of
vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell and drummer Chris
Adler.
The first nine years went pretty slow for the band. They then released their debut studio album "Burn the
Priest" in 1999 and have released an album every couple of years since then. Their other albums include,
"New American Gospel," "As the Palaces Burn," "Ashes of the Wake," "Sacrament," "Wrath" and "Resolution."
Their lyrical themes often have a double meaning, frequently using biblical references that convey anti-
religious sentiment. Their genre is considered to be groove metal with elements of death metal, thrash
metal, speed metal, hardcore punk and metalcore.
Lamb of God will be heading to Boston's House of Blues in support of their latest release, "Resolution."
This album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard's "Rock Chart."
