Louise Amanda Harman was born on December 19, 1985. Known for her stage name Lady Sovereign, Harmon was the first ever non-American female to ever sign with Def Jam records. She is also known for being the only white female rapper in the British "Grime scene." Her debut album "Public Warning" was released in 2006, featuring the songs "9 to 5," "Hoodie," and "Love Me or Hate Me." "Love Me or Hate Me" became the first video by a British artist to reach #1 on the U.S. Total Request Live. Lady Sovereign is currently working on her newest album Jigsaw, which is set to be released on April 6, 2009. This album will be under her newly found independent record label "Midget Records." She is expected to be at the Paradise Rock Club on May 3rd in Boston, MA.
