Information

Born on March 26, 1968 in Luttrell, TN, Kenny Chesney is one of Country Music's most popular artists. He began performing while attending East Tennessee State College. He quickly became a local favorite. Excited about his potential music career, Kenny Chesney moved to Nashville after graduating in 1991, a sought out a record deal. His first label, Capricorn Records only led to minor success. When Capricorn closed it's doors in Nashville, Chesney wound up with an RCA affiliate label, BNA Records. It was with BNA records that Kenny Chesney's career really took off. His 1996 album Me & You went certified Gold, while his 1997 album I Will Stand went Platinum. 1999's Everywhere We Go, went Double Platinum. 2002's No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems was his best effort to date reaching #1 on the U.S. Album Charts. The same is true for his latest album 2005's The Road and the Radio.

Chesney's last couple of albums have drawn comparisons to Jimmy Buffett as Kenny has grown fond of the island lifestyle often depicted in Buffett's music. Chesney's live shows have also taken on the feel of a classic Jimmy Buffett show.
