Houston Rockets Information

The Rockets were founded in 1967 as the San Diego Rockets and moved to Houston in 1970. The Rockets have won two NBA Titles, in 1994 and 1995. They improved in 2007 after missing the playoffs in the 2006 season. In 2008, they earned a post-season spot, only to lose to the Utah Jazz in six games.

The Rockets finished the 2009 season with a 53-29 record and advanced to the Conference Semifinals. They took the Lakers all the way to seven games, but were eventually sent back to Houston. The 2010 Rockets completed the regular season at 42-40 and failed to reach the playoffs.

In 2011, the Rockets had a last place finish in the division and no spot in the playoffs. This season, the Rockets have not yet been eliminated from the playoffs, but will likely miss out yet again. Look for the team to make a strong finish on the season.
