American heavy metal group Down is scheduled to perform at the House of Blues in Boston on Sunday, September 13th, before heading out west to Los Angeles, California and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The band is comprised of vocalist Phil Anselmo, guitarists Pepper Keenan and Kirk Windstein, bassist Rex Brown, and drummer Jimmy Bower. Since coming together in 1991, they have released three albums and are currently in the process of making a fourth entitled "Down IV."
Their first album "NOLA" became certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. They are most well known for their hit singles "Stone the Crow," "Temptations Wings," Ghosts Along the Mississippi," and "On March the Saints." "Down IV" is expected to be recorded by December of this year and will be set for release in early 2010.
