Depeche Mode Information, Depeche mode is an English electronic music band from Basildon, Essex, England. Forming together in 1980, the band was first comprised of Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards), and Vince Clarke (keyboards). Clarke decided to part ways from the group after
their 1981 debut album, and was soon replaced by Alan Wilder in 1982.
Since Wilders departure in 1995, Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have continued performing as a trio.
The group is still touring today after over 20 years of success in the music industry. All of their work through the years has led them to
be on of the most influential groups to come out of the new wave era.
They have earned #1 albums in both the U.S. and U.K., and have reached the U.K. Singles Charts 45 times. Their newest album "Sounds of the Universe" is set for an April 20th release. They will feature songs off their new album along with previous classics in their upcoming "Tour of the Universe," hitting all major cities in the U.S. from July to September.
