Darius Rucker Information

Darius Rucker is best known for his time as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the widely followed, Grammy-Winning band Hootie & the Blowfish, Their best selling record, Cracked Rear View has sold over 16 million copies since its release in 1994. Rucked naturally evolved towards country music throughout his time with Hootie & the Blowfish and switched the big band in for a single in 2008 after 22 years with the ‘90s rock band. The genre-switch and successful solo debut landed Rucker not only a performance on Grand Ole Opry, but also a platinum album, slot for New England’s 7th annual Country Fest and a welcoming embrace into the country world. Rucker’s critically acclaimed Learn to Live is a bit of a reflection, looking back at everything’s he’s encountered in his 42 years, from love, to success, birth and death. Darius Rucker is on tour from now to November promoting his debut album, with visits throughout the states along the way before wrapping up in Manchester, NH on November 14th.
