Connecticut Huskies Information, The UConn Huskies are the athletic programs for the University of Connecticut. The school competes in the NCAA Division 1 Big East Conference for all sports except men's and women's Ice Hockey. Their teams primarily showcase their talents at the XL Center, Gampel Pavilion, Rentschler Field, and the J.O. Christian Field.
UConn's feature sport without question is basketball. The men’s program features current NBA stars such as Richard Hamilton, Ray Allen, Emeka Okafor, Caron Butler, Ben Gorden, Charlie Villanueva, Hasheem Thabeet, and the list keeps on going. The men have 28 NCAA Tournament appearances and have won two national titles in 1999 and 2004. There is no other basketball program comparable to the UConn women. Along with making the NCAA Tournament 21 times, they have won six national championships with three undefeated seasons (1995, 2002, 2009)
