Information

Columbus Blue Jackets information, The Blue Jackets are based in Columbus Ohio and were founded in 2000. They compete in the NHL's Central Division of the Western Conference. In their very short history they were not able to make the playoffs until just recently in 2009. With a 41-31-10 record they advanced to the Quarterfinals, matching up against the heavily favored Detroit Red Wings. There were no upsets here, as Detroit sent the Blue Jackets home in four games.

After making it into post-season play last year the Blue Jackets have a lot to look forward to in 2010. Rick Nash will assume the captain role again with Rostislav Klesla and Fredrik Modin as his assistants. Hopefully they are able to further improve and earn some wins in the playoffs this year.
