Coldplay information, Led by frontman Chris Martin, Coldplay has enjoyed a great amount of success since their debut album Parachutes was released in late 1999. All four of their albums reached the #1 spot on the UK charts including 2008's 'Viva La Vida'. Often criticized for sounding too much like Radiohead, Coldplay has managed to find a voice that is all their own. They won't deny however, that bands like Radiohead, U2 and Echo & the Bunnymen have had a profound effect on their sound. Coldplay is currently touring North America in support of their latest album 'Viva La Vida'. The 2008 Coldplay tour has been quite successful.
