The Reds were established in 1869 and have been members of the National League since 1890. They play in the NL Central Division. The Reds have won five World Series Titles and nine NL Pennants. "The Big Red Machine" of the '70's may have been the best years for the franchise. With legends such as Johnny Bench and Pete Rose the Reds won back to back World Series in 1975-1976.
As it has for the last few years, the Reds success will depend on their health. In particular the health of All Star outfielder Ken Griffey Jr.
