Information

Chicago Bulls information, The team began play in the 1966-67 season, and immediately posted the best record by an expansion team in NBA history, qualifying for playoffs. In 1984 the franchise grabbed Michael Jordan from University of Carolina. Jordan would go on to redefine the game and rewrite its record books, establishing himself as the greatest player of all time. He set franchise records during his rookie campaign for scoring (3rd in the league) and steals (4th in the league), and led the Bulls back to the playoffs. The team would go on to win 6 NBA Championships with Michael Jordan.

Since the Jordan era the Bulls have not seen too much excitement from the franchise. They have not won a division title since 1998. After missing the playoffs in 2008 the Bulls came back next season with a 41-41 record, earning them the #2 rank in the Central division. They matched up against the Boston Celtics in the first round, which in time may be remembered as the best opening round playoff series in NBA history. The Bulls took Boston to seven total overtime periods, but eventually lost in the final game of the series by 10.

For this upcoming season Chicago has continued to build its roster, drafting former Wake Forest forward James Johnson and USC forward Taj Gibson. Although some progress has been made, they recently took a step back when their leading scorer Ben Gordon signed with their divisional rival Detroit Pistons.
