Chicago Blackhawks information, The Chicago Blackhawks were founded in 1926 and are one of the original six teams. They have won three Stanley Cups in their franchise history but none since 1961. They have been eliminated from the playoffs from 2002-2008.
Last year Chicago re-grew their fan base as they posted 46 wins, which placed them at second in their division. They finally made it to the playoffs and found success all the way to the Western Conference finals, where they lost to the Detroit Red Wings. Heading into 2010 the Blackhawks signed Marian Hossa to a 12-year contract worth 62.8 million. Tomas Kopecky, John Madden, and Richard Petiot were also added to further strengthen the team.
