THE LEGENDARY JAZZ/ROCK BAND "CHASE" WILL BE PERFORMING THE MUSIC FROM THREE ALBUMS ON EPIC RECORDS!.
Chase band members who will appear are trumpeters Joe Morrissey, Jim Oatts and Alan Ware , drummers Jay Burrid and Gary Smith, bassist Dennis Johnson, organist Phil Porter and vocalist GG Shinn. Also appearing will be world-renowned lead trumpeter Eric Miyashiro, along with Scott Handler, Jay Daly, Kevin Seeley and Jay Nakagawa on trumpets, Bruce Bartlett on guitar, Jim Lattini on drums and Rick Porter on drums and vocals. JUST ADDED – Opening for Chase - The Phil Porter Trio featuring Gray Sargent (Tony Bennett’s long-time guitarist) Concert starts at 8:00 PM. (Doors open at 6:00 pm)
Chase was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1971, was seen on the Tonight Show w/ Johnny Carson, The Smothers Brothers, their own CBS TV Special, and performed at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Tokyo’s Budokan and two Newport Jazz Festivals. The band was on the cover of ‘Rolling Stone” and was lauded in Downbeat Magazine, Chicago Tribune and the New York Times. Their hit single "Get It On" was performed for years by some of the best Drum and Bugle Corps, High School and College Marching Bands in the country, and was recently heard on the hit TV Show, "America's Got Talent".
