After coming up short in the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs the Bruins are determined to take another run at the Cup. Let Ace Ticket get you close to the action. Ace is your local & trusted source for Boston Bruins Tickets.

Based in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, the Boston Bruins are a professional men's ice hockey team. They are a part of the Northeast Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The organization has been in existence since 1924 when it entered the league as the first American based expansion team. The team's home arena, the TD Garden, has a capacity of 17,565 and is where home games have been played since 1995. Before the TD Garden, the team had played at the Boston Garden since 1928.

The Bruins are members of the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team has won six Stanley Cup championships, the fifth most of all-time. In only their fifth year as an organization, they captured their first Cup in 1929. With a very strong team in the late 30’s and early 40’s the B’s won titles in 1939 and again in 1941. The team was strong again in the early 1970’s when they would go on to win two more titles in 1970 and 1972. The 1970 Stanley Cup featured one of the most historic goals of all time by Bobby Orr, the Bruins captain, when he went sailing through the air in overtime to deflect a shot in the net to win the team’s most recent championship.

The 2009 Bruins finished at the top of the standings by the end of the season with a 53-19 record. They advanced past the Canadiens in the opening round but fell short of the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 7 of the Conference Semifinals. In 2010 the B’s found themselves back in the semi’s, where they were eventually defeated by their longtime rival Philadelphia Flyers. In the 2010-11 campaign, the Bruins had an exciting playoffs all the way through, first beating the Montreal Canadiens, then the Philadelphia Flyers, followed by the Tampa Bay Lightning, and finally the Vancouver Canucks for the Stanley Cup Championship.

This was the B's sixth Stanley Cup in franchise history and broke a 39-year Cup drought. The 2010-2011 Buins were the first team in NHL history to win a Game 7 three times in the same playoff run. In the wake of their Stanley Cup win the Bruins went on to finish second in the Eastern Conference won the Northeast Division title. In the first round of the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs they faced the Washington Capitals in the first round and came up short.

The Bruins had another magical run during the lockout shortened 2012-2013 season. The B’s earned a four seed after a 28-14-6 record in the regular season. In the first round, the B’s were forced to play a game seven against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Trailing by two goals with less than 90 seconds left, the B’s tied it up and won in overtime. From there, they cruised to the Stanley Cup after beating the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins. They faced the Chicago Blackhawks, but unfortunately the B’s blew a late lead in Game 6 and lost on their home ice. With the departure of Tyler Seguin and Nathan Horton, the new-look Bruins are hoping to make another run at the Cup this season.
